Peinture sans fin
unlimited painting
In honour of Father’s day we’ve put together a unique edition of three everyday ornaments inspired by Romanian conceptual artist André Cadere’s Round Bar of Wood; the VWB, BWRP and GBWB lulu rings.
Following Cadere’s desire to push further the transgression of artworks outside the walls of a gallery space, these limited-edition rings like Cadere’s batons are conceived as “unlimited paintings’ that interact with the body exiting the condition of a painting or a sculpture to become the archetype of a body ornament.
André Cadere carrying one of his batons in the bus, during what he used to call a “displacement”.
Borrowing the patterns and colours of Cadere’s iconic batons and also behaving like “unlimited paintings” our new lulu rings can be wrapped around a finger similarly to a spring where whites take the form of freshwater pearls, reds become garnets, pinks-rose quartz, violet-amethyst, blues-lapis lazuli and greens-malachite following the code VWB, GBWB and BWRP.
These limited-edition unisex lulu rings are adjustable to all finger sizes from 50 EU to 58 EU and are a perfect gift for Father’s Day.

EXPANDING ART at Fondation CAB Brussels
A current show curated by Hervé Bize at Fondation CAB in Brussels shows the work of Cadere until July 15th.
André Cadere wanted to bring the piece of art out of the gallery space. With merely the body as a véhicule for the pieces, carrying his bars himself.
The work of Cadere is a huge source of inspiration and lead us to constantly push forward the boundaries!… read more about Cadere’s work
