ALEXANDRA SAND is COUNTING COLORS in EXPANDING ART by ANDRE CADERE
Part of the show Expanding Art at Fondation CAB curated by Hervé Bize, Romanian artist Alexandra Sand did a two day performance reinterpreting the work of Cadere by “enfiler” painted wood pearls in an infinite rope while interacting with visitors of the gallery.
We sat with her to discuss her practice from Counting Colors to Another Self. Inspired by her presence and her other piece Another Self we understood the minimal and simple works exploring the curves from the beginning of mankind, we are happy to present our curvi ring in yellow gold with round diamond and in white gold with heart shape ruby.
Counting Colors was a processual threading beads of wood by the artist, while making encounter. Also fascinated by the practice of threading pearls and of colour beads.
In this piece the physical presence of the body is very important. The same is shown in her other piece Another Self.

CRUVY VENUS de Lespugue at the Musee de l’homme
Part of the permanent collection of the Musee de l’Homme in Paris, the Venus de Lespugue is a fantastic totem carved in Mammouth Ivory 28 000 years ago with this curvy and symmetrical.
What is really striking in this Venus is the dimension and curves of the feminine's part of the body that lead the scientist to think that she was a totem of Fecondity or maternity. The statuette would be possibly describing a woman giving birth to another women.

One of the earliest piece of art and therefore a very important inspiration for many modern and contemporary artist such as Niki de Saint Phalle, Picasso ofr Louise Bourgeois.
More recently the young Romanian artist Alexandra Sand exhibited a corpus of works entitled Another Self with preparatory drawings, a video and a full-scale sculpture.
The Grimaldi Venus more curvy was also part of the inspiration and preparatory drawings and our CURVI RING is all about this shape especially when stacking them!
LA PARABOLE DE L’HISTOIRE
Our new 18k yellow gold parabole earrings available in yellow gold and white diamonds or white gold with blue sapphires has this very parabolic shape that takes us to continue in the theme of curves.
Bernard Venet knows about curves and arches with his works in steel. His newest work Parabole de l’Histoire was exhibited outdoor on Place Vendôme earlier this year in March and April pushing forward our love for curves.
